Sudan is facing the world’s largest displacement crisis which is not getting the attention it deserves.
Military confrontations across Sudan, including in areas like Darfur, Gezira, Khartoum, and Kordofan, has driven the number of internally displaced persons to a staggering 12.3 million. It is estimated that about half of these are children. The malnutrition and food crisis remains critical.
Penny Appeal Canada has deployed an emergency response in Sudan and is working with partners on the ground, providing relief supplies. Your donation to our Sudan Emergency Response will help us provide food packs, health care kits, and emergency shelter.

In light of recent developments, Penny Appeal Canada has deployed an emergency response in Syria to aid people as the situation evolves.
As Syria enters a new chapter in its history, a humanitarian crisis still looms over the more than 24 million people. Faced with one of the largest refugee crises in the world, many were unable to escape, leaving them in desperate need of relief.
International agencies report that more than 16 million people are in need of immediate relief. It is estimated that more than 1 million people have been displaced in a span of two weeks, 50% of them being women and children. Essential services have faced disruption, and thousands of schools have been closed for the time being.
This situation has the potential to become a humanitarian crisis if we do not act quick.
